There are many things to do in and around Auburn: shopping; visiting our parks, and much more:

Auburn/Williams Recreation Association
Recreation and skill-building programs are available throughout the year under the leadership of a Recreation Director. Activities include crafts, games, archery, cooking, day camp, and more. Sports programs are also offered in baseball, softball and soccer. (989) 662-6553.

Community Education Program
Offers a wide variety of educational and recreational subjects. Times and schedules are published previous to enrollment, please watch your mailbox for specific information.

Auburn Area Senior Citizens
Lunches are available every day at the Williams Township Hall, with special potlucks, dinner dances, a Christmas party, and more! (989) 662-6521.

Easter Egg Hunt
Auburn City Park, sponsored by the Auburn Jaycees. Fun & prizes for the children. 

Spring/Fall Migration Festival
Takes place each April & September at Cherri’s Feed-n-Seed/Birders’ Boutique (301 W. Midland Road). Featuring raffles, prizes, and free lectures on birds/feeding/housing/more.  662-3333.

Treasure Hunt Days
A garage sale is good. Finding two of them next to each other is lucky. But how about a whole city of garage sales? We have such a thing, in spring (the first weekend after Mother's Day). Maps with locations are distributed. (989) 662-4001.

Mayor's Exchange Program
Every May on “Michigan Day” the City of Auburn celebrates with a banquet and tour of the city to salute our mayors. A “Laverne Gonyea Award” is awarded to the “Outstanding Citizen” of the year. (989) 662-6761.

Annual Auburn Area Queen's Pageant
Held during Cornfest (see below). A scholarship pageant, with young women competing for the title of “Miss Auburn Area”, with the winner representing the Auburn Area in the annual Miss Michigan pageant. (989) 662-4862.

Auburn Corn Festival (Cornfest)
Second week in July (four days)-- featuring midway games, many varieties of food and beverages, fishing contest, rides, road races, arts & crafts/flea market, live entertainment and dancing under the big tent, horseshoe tournament, casion games, tractor pull, softball and volleyball tournaments, parade, and lots of delicious sweet corn. Rock-N-Wheels
Weekend after Cornfest (see above). Three days of Fifties and Sixties music, featuring The Hubcaps, car show & cruise, tractor pull, more. (989) 686-7714.

Bittersweet Festival
September, at Warmbier Farms, 5300 Garfield Road, Auburn. A day of Autumn color and country fun, with exhibitions and demonstrations, crafts, and other activities. (989) 662-7002.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event
First Tuesday in December, at Williams Township Hall. Sponsored by local organizations.  (989) 662-FEED.
